The Accent Test

See on Hilary's site a few months back. Guess this could be true since my Mom is from Indiana/Pennsylvania and I talk just like her, but they really should have a Utah category and ask if "picture" and "pitcher" sound the same.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I was “the lowest common denominator” Western accent, the one that sounds like no accent to anyone (or so they say).

I’m so drab.

You are not drab! You are just an *English perfectionist* with your perfect speaking English and your perfect grammar! You really should be put in a category of your own! :-)
