Where in the world is Ron R?
Adoring fans are anxiously awaiting the results of the Oscar Pool and the tie breaker cannot be resolved until I hear from Ron R. All of the entries to my Oscar Pool were received from friends except the entry received from Ron R. I don't have an email address to contact Ron and am just anxiously awaiting and email from him with his tie breaker guess.

Oscar Pool Results
I had a total of 4 entries in my Oscar Pool! :-) So one would think with only 4 entries that there would be a clear winner but alas, we have a tie. The entries received from Ron R and Don each had 8 correct guesses.
I have been trying to figure out a fair tie-breaker for the last 36 hours. I considered a movie trivia question but then thought there was no fun in that because the answer could be googled fairly easily. I then considered a question about my personal movie favorites but then thought that I was surely giving Don and unfair advantage because he knows me (perhaps Ron R knows me but I am not sure). So I have decided to settle it by choosing a number between 1 and 10.
I have taken a post-it note here on my desk and written down my selection. I request that Ron R and Don each select a number (between 1 and 10) and send it to me via email at jewellsinsea@clearwire.net or via AIM at jewellsinsea. Whomever is closest wins the prize, but both will receive full glory for their correct responses when I post the official winner and all of the results later today!

Vox Question of the Day: If you could write like one fiction author, who would it be?
I have always wanted to be able to write suspenseful creative tales. I love to read a book when I am surprised by the next step for the characters or plot. I would love to be able to pen tales like Patricia Cornwell or J.K. Rowling but think that by the time I actually finish a book it will be much more in the Chick-Lit genre and the stylings of Jennifer Weiner.

QotD: First Celebrity Crush
Vox Question of the day: Who was your first celebrity crush?
It would have been Tom Wopat as Luke Duke in the Dukes of Hazard TV Series. I dreamed of jumping through the window of the General Lee and riding off into the sunset together. Ah, to be 10 again!
Years later (1991) after the crush had faded a bit I saw him in an off-Broadway production and was totally impressed. He is a great talent.

QotD: Best Day
Vox Question of the Day: What is your favorite day of the week?
Well I think that I would normally say Saturday. However lately my Saturdays have consisted of early mornings, labs, midterms and allergy attacks. It's kinda ruined Saturday for me. Once this final class is over I will be loving Saturdays again but until then my favorite is Sunday.

Vox Question of the Day: What are your favorite weird food combinations?
My favorite weird food combination is adding plain M&M's to my popcorn at the movie theater. It's best when the popcorn is super buttery and warm so it melts in the inside of the M&M's.
