Quizzical Wednesday: What Card Game Are You?
You Are Bridge |
You are a thoughtful and conscientious person. In fact, you're a bit of a brainiac. You get a real thrill from mastering difficult tasks. You get bored if you aren't being challenged. You are competitive, but you aren't a sore loser. You take a rational approach to competition. You work hard, and you're persistent. You don't expect to be a natural at anything. |

Quizzical Wednesday: Warm or Cool?
You Are a Warm Person |
You are welcoming to everyone you meet. You are friendly and even a little touchy-feely at times. You are curious about people, and you find a lot of value in friendships. You need lots of human connections. You are bold and enthusiastic. You like to try new things, and you crave a challenge. Your energy comes in bursts, and you tend to burn brightly until you burn out. |

Shootin'
I learned how to shoot a gun tonight. One of my colleagues competes in shootin' (his word, not mine) competitions and mentioned it a while back. I said that I had always wanted to learn how to shoot a gun and he offered to teach me. I don't think this will become a regular thing for me and I don't see myself ever owning a gun. I simply wanted to know how to shoot one to add it to the list of things I've done.

Took my brother to lunch today at the Metropolitian Grill to celebrate his birthday. They brought creme brulee with a candle to mark the day.

The most boring blog in the world
I have severely neglected my blog lately. I still like my blog but the past few months I have had NO desire to post anything. And it is not because the last few months have been uneventful, they have been insanely crazy with stuff but when I think about posting I just don't have the energy or drive to write about it.
To get back on track I've decided to participate in a 30-day challenge starting tomorrow. I've been inspired by my friend and fellow blogger Erin who got the idea here. Until then, here are some of the things you have missed over the past few months.

- I'm co-leading a Habitat for Humanity Global Village trip to Molokai in July with my friend and former teammate Lani. We submitted our proposal in January, attended leader training in February and immediately hit the ground running to get the team recruited and get all the details organized. The trip is only 37 days away and all the big stuff is handled and we are now focused in on the little details. I'm thrilled that I was able to convince FOUR of my Seattle peep to join the team and I can't wait to share the experience with them. If you would like to read more about the team or the trip details, you can check out our blog here. We will be posting things there throughout the trip so that friends and family members can keep up on our adventures.
- My Step-Dad Rick has had some very serious health problems that started on Easter Sunday. It has been a bumpy and emotional road but he seems to finally be on the road to recovery. Thank goodness!
- April 28th started a whirlwind tour of the U.S. for me. I was gone 20 out of the 28 days following and visited California, Florida and Utah. I am so happy to be home for a while. Traveling is lovely but home is fabulous.
- Summer is only days away but it doesn't feel like it in Seattle. The spring has been cooler and wetter than usual and I am ready for some sunny above 70-degree days.

Quizzical Wednesday: The Happy Smiley Test
You Are Energetic |
You may seem scattered to those around you, but there is a method to your madness. You are good at juggling many balls in the air. You definitely know how to multitask. You are driven and motivated. You crave success, and you always follow your dreams. You make responsible decisions, and you can be counted on in a crisis. You have your head screwed on straight. |

The first couple of trigger pulls were terrifying. I am after all the girl who is afraid of champagne bottles and Pillsbury dough containers so pulling a trigger to make a big bang was the part I was absolutely dreading. But once I got used to it I got comfortable and towards the end of 50 rounds I was pretty good, if I do say so myself. The target above was the first of three. The target pictured below was the final target.
