The most boring blog in the world

I have severely neglected my blog lately.  I still like my blog but the past few months I have had NO desire to post anything.  And it is not because the last few months have been uneventful, they have been insanely crazy with stuff but when I think about posting I just don't have the energy or drive to write about it.

To get back on track I've decided to participate in a 30-day challenge starting tomorrow.  I've been inspired by my friend and fellow blogger Erin who got the idea here.  Until then, here are some of the things you have missed over the past few months.

  • I'm co-leading a Habitat for Humanity Global Village trip to Molokai in July with my friend and former teammate Lani.  We submitted our proposal in January, attended leader training in February and immediately hit the ground running to get the team recruited and get all the details organized.  The trip is only 37 days away and all the big stuff is handled and we are now focused in on the little details.  I'm thrilled that I was able to convince FOUR of my Seattle peep to join the team and I can't wait to share the experience with them.  If you would like to read more about the team or the trip details, you can check out our blog here.  We will be posting things there throughout the trip so that friends and family members can keep up on our adventures.
  • My Step-Dad Rick has had some very serious health problems that started on Easter Sunday.  It has been a bumpy and emotional road but he seems to finally be on the road to recovery.  Thank goodness!
  • April 28th started a whirlwind tour of the U.S. for me.  I was gone 20 out of the 28 days following and visited California, Florida and Utah.  I am so happy to be home for a while.  Traveling is lovely but home is fabulous.
  • Summer is only days away but it doesn't feel like it in Seattle.  The spring has been cooler and wetter than usual and I am ready for some sunny above 70-degree days.
That's all I can think of now.  Onto the challenge.
